Building a vocal booth

Any recommendations? I'm starting from scratch and have around a $1000 budget. Obviously I would LIKE to keep the price as low as possible, but still want something that will produce a quality product.

It doesn't include HVAC or glass, specific door placement, etc. (things that are very specific to the existing space) but it's done a nice job...

Why do you think you need a vocal booth? It will probably make your vocals sound bad.

You may be better to create a deadish corner in a room where there are not loads of early reflections rather than creating a totally dead, dull, lifeless, box like, claustrophobic, confined, restrictive, stuffy....and so on......vocal booth. I prefer this for vocals any day of the week. More natural sounding but still controlled.
