Building a DAW. Need a brain...er..I mean help.

I have $1100 I can blow on a computer.

I already have a Lynx one sound card
and a brand new 10 gig hard drive.

I do need a burner and Pentium processor for my system.

Anyone know where some good quality barebone systems can be had? I would like the board, processor, and memory to already be there. I don't like screwing around with memory incompatiblities and things like that. Things like floppies, hard drives, SCSI cards ect.... I can deal with.

Any suggestions?

if your card is compatable with amd thunderbird 1.1 ghz
ive seen this setup with a motheboard and case for 300 bucks here in kc. the rest of the stuff you may strip out of your present setup.

for video get a card that supports 2 monitors 80.00

get two monitors used 70.00

for midi and cd listning get a turtle beach montego 2 for 16.00

get a 100.00 cd burner anywhere

ram is cheap get 256 for 100.00
keyboard 20.00
mouse 10.00

total 700.00 built to kick serios ass with your sound card.
