i bought a 19" widescreen and rackmountable case just now

Yeah, but there's converters. That doesn't mean that the video card itself will not support/work on CRT monitors.

Thats way too expensive for a case. You can get beautiful cases for less than $40 dollars, with at least 450w power supply & windows on the top and side along with fans. Then there's also cheaper cases for those who don't care about making case look cool & modded, for about $20 bucks.
