:EDIT...I changed the link to our group project page. This one should work...???

A little over a minute long. I've been practicing tracking and mixing so any comments you've got is appreciated.

I messed around with different mics, placement, compression, tuning, lo-mid cuts etc and came up with this...so if ya hear something I screwed up on, lemme know.

Much thanks, much peace-n-stuff....:D...Kel

This sounds really nice...

I am on pc speakers, but relative to a lot of other things I've been listening to today on the same setup, this is wonderfully clear. The reproduction of the higher frequencies is exquisite. So much so that the ride (it is a ride?) is almost unreal in its separation and clarity. The crash just gently washes away. The guitar, while low in level, is nicely distinct.

I don't know that I've heard other things you've done, but it sounds like the messing around you did paid off. Not exactly what I though bugg butt juice would sound like though...:D:eek:

May just be me, but your link did wierd things...a window asked me if I wanted to close this window and when I responded "no", it opended your player in a separate window and substituted this hr page with soundclick's home page...?

Then link now takes you to the Soundclick page for all music...not your page and don't know what name your page is under to search for it.

Make those guitar sound pristine like the drums and bass and you set. Very clean, the way it music should sound. Just a little eq and level adjustment on the 6 strings and your set.

Moocho thanks man. I don't think anyone's ever used "exquisite" and my music together in the same sentence before. :p But that really helps. I've been kickin my own ass for awhile now and it's nice to know that light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train. :D

(and yeah... that's my ride. It's coming thru better with this new setup.)

And no...it's not just you. I had a helluva time gettin this thing loaded right. ??? I had to click "no" to get it to play at first too.
Weird.

Hi True...;) Always good to see ya around.
That's weird too cuz I just tried it again and it seems to be workin right.

Much thanks man. Listening again, I see what you mean. Cool. I can do dat. :)

Thanks for your time sirs and ma'am. ;)

Still not for me...and if I close out the page it closes out my BBS page too, so it is linked in with it somehow. How are you saving the link Dog..?

Are you going to the actual song page and clicking on link to save or just typing it in here?

http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6184593Did mine take you straight to my song?

I don't understand why some of us aren't getting it and others are.

Yours works fine. Took me right to "Losing Control" (nicely done btw ;) )

and when I go back and check both of the links I put up, they both work.

wtf?

I don't get it. :(

I saw the new link and thought the guitars were re eq'd. Let us know when you do it.

Nice riff, Kel!
Hope you make a whole song out of this. Guitars might be a little too distant, but If you put more stuff down, that might change. Otherwise, recording's great.

Cheers
Joe :D

Link works fine. Nice little riff, very tight and well played.

And I thank you, sir.

I think I've got some time for a new mixdown tonite. Much thanks man.

Thanks Joe...;)

It's gonna end up being a song. I was dinkin around with it after I burned the CD for it and have a pretty cool riff section to go with it. I kinda doubt it'll be called Bugg Butt Juice tho. :p

Peace y'all!

The new link in the first post works great now!

Thanks Doggie ...I didn't play any of those instruments on my song though.;)

I can barely hear the guitar. It is like a tiny sound in the distance.

I like the bass tone and the funky rock sound you got going here...never knew a bug's butt could sound so good.:D
