Greetings and Happy New Years all round!
I think there is a bug with Sonar PE 3.1 relating to the automation of the Sonitus effects when used on a sub-group bus.
If I stick any of the Sonitus effects on a track, I am able to arm a parameter for recording, record my interface tweaks and they display the envelope and it plays back correctly when I am done. I used the Sonitus WahWah to test this but all the others do the same thing.
But, if I stick any of the Sonitus effects of a sub-group bus, then I can arm the parameter, record the automation and get an envelope displayed but this does not make the interface move or the sound change.
If I stick another plugin, (I used iZotope's Trash), onto the same effect bus and re-route the envelope to one of it's parameters then everything responds correctly.
Weird. Can anyone emulate this? I have reported it to Cakewalk but am yet to hear anything.
I know that the Sonitus Ultrafunk stuff are actually written as VST effects which were internally "wrapped" for DXi compliance with the release of 3.0. Maybe something weird happened in this process?
This was a clean install of Sonar 3.0 PE patched with the "B" version of the plugin patch and then updated to 3.1 running on Windows 2000 SP4.
Ciao,
