Hey John...

Mackie 24*8 console, Re'an patchbays, Lexicons and an LTD racked above the PB, all mounted in an Omnirax Synergy 800 desk..........

:)

Bruce

Aaaaaah - Mackie - good one - That's a really nice setup Bruce, nice effects and good machines. Well done mate, hope you make heaps out of it. ;);)

cheers
john

yeah ...

really nice set up Bruce!
Did you build that vocal booth yourself? Looks cool.

Hey, wait a second...I don't see your NS-10's anywhere???? HA HA just joking!!! ;) Great setup! I'd like to know about that vocal booth of yours too.

She just about killed me for sending that pic!!! :)

Good eyes C7 - NT2 in the booth ...and 2 Lex MPX500s, along with an LTD, and  a Behringer Virtualizer (a freebie, but it is surprisingly useful for dirtying-up snare sounds!)

I compared the MPX500 against the TC Elec. M*One and the M*One really came up lacking - very muddy sound compared to the Lexi and all its reverbs seemed to impart the same tone and sound to everything, regardless of settings. The Lexi was clean and clear and each reverb setting was distinct - I liked them so much, I bought 2 of 'em!!! :)

The NS-10s were used for doorstops until I sold them off to someone who *really* wanted them - (Hey I DID try to dissuade him, but he literally forced the money into my hands!!!) ;)

What you can't see in the photos is the Tannoy sub mounted under the console...

The vocal booth is Auralex mounted in a triangular wood frame that I built, dimensions being 4 by 8 * 3 panels. What I should have included was a layout diagram - it's adjacent to the listening room. It didn't have to worry about external noise because the concrete walls are very thick and fairly resistant to noise transmission. The 3 walls of Auralex in an irregular triangular pattern do an AMAZING job of eliminating the room from anything mic'd from vocals to amps. Carpeting damps the floor in both the listening room and the vocal booth.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

Bruce :)

Hey Bruce, how dare BREAK into my house, STEAL my camera,
take photo's of MY newly re-furbished studio and equipment,e-mail them to John and Brian, LIE and say these are your pictures of Blue Bear Sound when in actuality, they are actual photo's of my own MisterQcue Sound Studios, and to top it ALL off, you claim that that is your girlfriend in your VOCAL BOOTH, when, again, that's my newly signed star,Celine Dion, in my $50,000.00 Master Vocal Studio!
Bruce, I will see you in COURT!!!!!!! :)

Seriously, is that MY RNC underneath the JVC tape-deck?
Also, I see that you're an ADAT junkie like me!!!
Real nice Bruce!

Actually, the 2 RNCs are in one of my effects rack - the unit under the cassette deck is a C03 - digital converter to link the DAT to the Masterlink (Tascam AES/EBU doesn't seem to want to play nicely with Alesis's AES/EBU). I dealt with both Tascam and Alesis about the issue and they each blame the other - in the end, I just bought the device that made it work!!!

I'll see ya in COURT MR!!!! ;)

:D

Bruce
