I will be using 2 drum mics and was wondering which mixer you think would be best, choice of either:

Eurorack UB1202 by Behringer

or

MG 10/2 by Yamaha.

I would appreciate any comments, thanks a lot :) :)

ive heard great things about the yamaha. i have the 1202 and it works fine, but i have nothing to compare

About the only time I use a drum sub-mixer is live in which case

When I use only a couple of mics I use a Spirit Notepad. It is relatively quiet, hardly takes up any room and it's very light (granted the plastic case demands a degree of care, but I can live with that). This could work decent as a studio sub-mix (since it is fairly quiet).

When I need more channels (for gigs) I have a Phonic. It's a very inexpensive mixer and certainly not something I would want in a critical chain (such as my main recording desk) but it could work OK as a studio drum mixer.

I've never tried one, but I've heard many good comments about the Yamaha MGs

i've had both yamaha and behringer mixers (different models)... the yamaha wins hands down.

I use the Yamaha MG12/4 to record my drums.

No worries, only good times

Yamaha MG 16/4 I haven´t used it live just for recording. I think is a great mixer for the money. Listen to Bulls Hit, I did it and I have no regrets. Thanks man.

ok, all done. I purchased the yamaha, just waiting for it to arrive.

Thanks for all your advice!
