budget drum trigger system

does anyone know what the least expensive way to trigger acoustic drums ?
For example at least 8 triggers in and 8 audio outs. I want to experiment.
I have an Alesis HR-16 and an Alesis MMT-8 sequencer, but I want control each individual track as if it were miked. I would still use a pair of C-12's for overheads and ambiance. Thanks

Grab 5 of them Yamaha stick-on triggers... They work great...

About $20 a piece




I use them, and they are wonderful. Just peel the backing and stick on the underside of your drum head.... Route the tiny cord out of the air hole... Plug into your trigger brain with a regular guitar cord.
