While looking up a link for another thread I just came across this.
Who is Bruce Jackson some may ask? Here's a quote "He established Apogee in California, worked with Kim Ryrie to make the Fairlight sampling keyboard famous worldwide, established Lake Technologies with David McGrath, where the pair developed cutting edge PA technology including the Contour and Lake Processor. He has been closely associated with several other companies including Digidesign and most recently Dolby Labs, and his extensive, star studded live mixing credits have include such names as Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Striesand, Dianna Ross, Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart and the Faces, Barry White, Jefferson Airplane, Ozzy Ozbourne (Black Sabbath), Jackson 5, Cat Stevens, Art Garfunkel and Lou Reed… just to name a few."
He also was technical adviser for the 2000. 2004, 2006, 2008 Olympic games.
He was an Australian that started in a small factory unit building amps and mixers, JANDS, Jands now are one of the biggest makers of lighting consoles in the world.
RIP Bruce.
Alan
If this needs to be moved to a different location on the Forum I'm Fine with that.
