John and my younger brother Craig , were both lifelong bikers and fellow tuna boat captains . They fished the Bearing Sea out of Alaska and lost contact over the years after Craig moved back to Bon Secour Alabama on the coast. John wrote this and recently sent a demo to my brother who asked me to cover it. I rarely do country but really enjoyed it knowing all the back story.. Any nits , crits or suggestions welcomed. Thanks for the listen .. mark

How’d you convince Willie Nelson to sing on the track?
:D vocal sounds much like him at an earlier time in life.

Your stuff always sounds good, it’s pro quality. (y)

wow, really great! I love the lyrics/story, music is really well played and fits perfectly. Especially love the slide (pedal steel? ) guitar, adds so much at just the right times, electric guitars in general sound great , great job!

@RFR , Thanks , I have no idea what Willie sounded like in his younger years but .. I'll take it. 😁
@stratmonkee , I appreciate the listen and comments. The slide was a homemade lap steel I made a few years back. I'd really like to build another one for a different tuning and with palm benders.

Really nice composition, great playing as usual and nice lyrics add up to another fantastic song from you.

Laying down them vocals gets harder as age catches up with us but the soul never goes away, beautiful.

Fantastic! It has that old time country music flavor to it :thumbs up: . And yes @RFR is correct saying that it sounds like a young Willie Nelson singing.

@60's guy , Thanks . yep it's pretty country . I think I'm going to have to look up some early Willie Nelson songs. I've got an old (unplayable) LP of his I got at a sale . Cool cover. Clean cut and looked Very young .
@HumanPlanet , Appreciate that. Yes the vox was hard for me on this one and I'm not satisfied at all. I may try and re record it at some point , changing the key I played it in. Sure wish I could sing like I did in my younger years but .. Ther's always instrumentals and it's just a matter of time before AI comes up with a "talent" plug in. 😂 Thanks .. mark
