Britt's Debut!

A friend of Britt's, Chrystal Parker ( http://www.myspace.com/rmlova , http://www.rmlovarecords.com ) composed and recorded the beats, and e-mailed an MP3 to my daughter.

My daughter Britt wrote a lyric and sang. We recorded it last night. It's called My World.

Sounds good, man. Your daughter has a nice voice. The effects are a little heavy for my taste, but it fits the song well.

The mp3 sounds kinda' asslike (the music bed), but your daughter's talent is obvious. That'd be an extremely difficult tune to put a melody to, and she pulled it off great. I really do like her voice a lot - how old?

Is "asslike" good or bad? Is that a TX thing?

Cool song. Vox are nice and the effects suit it brilliantly. I would change the arrangement a bit though. Maybe edit it a little and add in a part where it really kicks in with faster more intense drums. Think of DJ Shadow beats. Like hip hop/ drum and bass/ break beat stuff. A heavy bit around half way through the song or so would be briliiant. The end could build up with more and more percussion joining in every few bars and more synths slowly rising in volume to the masive climax where everything stops suddenly apart from say the piano part, and everything that stopped suddenly tales off with loads of reverb.
