Well kinda heh-I've been lurking here for a while and now that the pro/rec website is a pay site-I'll be here mostly for info and entertainment.(This place is more my speed anyway).
So anyway, my band has some songs up http://www.ultratheband.com/ recorded and mixed by yours truly-using a tascam tmd1000 mixer-pci-822 soundcard, into cakewalk-and finished off with ozone. The songs on the left side of the page are new-the other stuff is just some 8-trk recordings. I'm happiest with "then and now" and "river song".This is my first batch of songs with this setup and I still have alot to learn about digital recording and editing, hopefully the next batch will sound better. Okay introductions and excuses out of the way-let me have it! Strat

p.s. I hope it isnt bad form to post my songs with my first post-if so please just ignore
 
Hey strat you might get more response if you just post one song at a time. Not that posting more than one is bad. There's a lot of songs on this bbs to listen to as well and they take time for some of us to download. Just a thought. Anyway I downloaded "Then and now". Sounds like you going in the right direction with recording.
 
Stratomaster, I'm listening to Down. Good tune. The vocal is a little crisp for my tastes, almost syblant. The rest sounds pretty damn good. I'll check a few other tunes later. Welcome to the board.:cool:
 
Thanks for the prompt responses guys! Sorry theres so many to choose from, we put up that site to give prospective bass players a chance to hear a variety of our stuff and I figured I'd just let people listen to as many or few as they want, it will be a few months at least before the next batch is done, so I wont be spamming with new stuff all the time.
As far as "down", yeah your right,the vocal during the chorus gets a little too crushed, blame my inexperience with ozone for that-I also need a de-esser....
Well thanks for the welcome, theres a ton of good stuff to listen to here, I'll try to chime in with my 2 cents every now and then. Strat
