BR1600 Adding different effects to multiple channels

How do I add different effects to multiple channels. I seem to be only able 1 effect at a time and not able to use two different effects on different channels. Say I wanted a vocal effect on channel 2 and a guitar effect on 3 and 4. As soon as I switch the effect it changes all of the input . I've tried assigning an effect to a channel and then saving the song. But then as soon as I switch the location Im working on the previous effect is lost. any help would be great

You are limited to a single effect at a time, so you will have to "print" the effect to a track, to free up the effect processor for something else.

So record/bounce your vocal with effects to another track...then record your guitars with the effects....etc.

It's a one track at a time kind of deal.
