HI there i am new here but I do have vs 880 i dont know if it works the same but I also have a ensoniq sq2
I sync both of those so when I push play on my workstation it plays my keyboard. All i know is just the basic concept whatever is the controller you want to set to sync and the set you tempo and all that great stuff the go to your keyboard or what ever youare midi-ing and chage your midi clock to external(mine says ext) that will snyc the two together it may not work with yours just thought i would share the lil bit I know
