I play US made Strats and don't have any 'buzzing'. If you record and you're too close to the BR-8's ZIP drive, you'll pick up some 'buzz' from the ZIP drive thru your pickups.
The Rhythm Guide's output is a wave signal, BOSS did this so that the Rhythm Guide wouldn't use any track space. Meaning, after recording, you've done your mix and ready to mixdown to cassette, CD burner or whatever media, the drum track sound will record.
You can add some reverb loop effect to the drum's sound, press the REVERB and you see the effect depth for each track in the screen, use the right cursor button and scroll all the way to the right until you see the Rhythm Guide's icon, turn the TIME/VALUE knob to add reverb.
