yeah plenty of tips too many to list unless you get specific, e-mail me and let me know what you are trying to do.or just post it here.i have a br-8 and a dr-5,although i do want
the dr-202 ,'cause i need a few of the old school sounds available on yours.
hook up the dr-202 by way of midi just 1 midi cable coming from the br-8 and into the dr-202,use the br-8 as the master.go into the utility in the br-8 and go to SYNC ,MIDI,TEMPO MAP.do midi time code or clock, whichever(they seem reaLLY SIMILAR OR IF NOT THE SAME)(MAYBE SOMEONE CAn explain,it tells it in the manual)and put it on master, and choose which midi channel you wish it to master.the sync and tempo map are very self explanatory, like offset is how long you want the song to roll before it starts which don't matter if you got a long enough count off.i use 30 frames for the sync, that i think is standard here in u.s.(if you are in the u.s.)and tempo map if it is the same tempo the whole song than don't worry about that part, set the beats per minute you want, and if you are using the br-8's pattern set that,if not i use the click, til i get a complete finished drum track,i think the click track is pattern 66,i forget.and set the rhythm track (or the beat ,that knob on the far bottom right that gives you drum patterns)set that to tempo map(all the way at the end of all the patterns)
ok i think i explained all i can right now,i could be more implicit, but i am at work and my stuff is at home.so e-mail me and tell me exactly what you are planning on doing ,and i will help as best as i can
have i said enough?i haven't been to this sight in a long time-----good luck
