BR-1180CD Digital Studio

Hi all,
Am I correct in thinking that this product is better than the BR-8
because it records on a hard drive and not a Zip disk?
Has anyone bought one of these yet? I see Musician's Friend
has them for under $1000. I need to get recording soon,

I'd say it's better because it records 10 tracks or so, (I think it's 10 tracks) so that is cool in my book.

Looks like a nice unit. Anybody know if there's a way to transfer to the computer? It says it has .wav export, but if you have burn to a CD first, that's kinda wasteful.

I'm a BR8 user currently, I'd be interested to see the quality and features of this one.
