Bouncing on the br 1600

This is probably a simple question, but i cant seem to bounce my recorded tracks onto track 9/10, which has already been bounced to before. Otherwise the data gets recorded over without my previously recorded stuff. I used to do it always on the br 600, but the br1600 is still new to me. :confused:

you have to choose a different virtual track to bounce to, as to not overwrite the old bounce.

yeh i did that but only the "newly recorded tracks" on 1 to 8, get recorded and not track 9/10 - my previous recording. I changed v tracks to V2 on 9/10 but it doesnt work.
 
is it even possible to bounce twice on the same track, or can you only bounce once to 9/10. Im pretty sure there's a way to bounce multiple times usingt the virtual tracks, but i cant seem to do it without recording over the previously bounced track. Any ideas would be good. thanks
