Hi, is it possible to put a jamtrack from my computer onto say track 1, then record the rest of the guitar parts on the other tracks. Am new at this and would depend if I bought one or not.

Regards, Ted.

I don't know what a "jamtrack" is, but you can load .wav files into the BR and then convert it into song data. I've done it with .wav files before.

Do you have the manual?

No I don't even have the micro br yet. I am doing some reserch first. Just getting into playing guitar again after ten years. A jamtrack is music with Bass, Drums, Keyboards etc minus the guitar parts. I used to have an old Tascam 4 track cassette which I could record the jamtrax onto track 1 then have the other 3 to lay the guitar parts down. Sounds by what you are saying is that you just load them in via USB as MP3 files. Seems like it should work.

Thanks, Ted

I do exactly what you described in your inital post. I have a MICRO BR and I record a backing track on Track 1 and then I add vocals, guitar and harp. Bounce those 4 to 1 and Master the recording to a WAV or an MP3 depending on what I want to do with it.

Next week I will be getting a BR-800 which is essentially just an oversized MICRO BR, except you can record more that one track at a time.
