Hi i bought this FX processor a few years ago ...and i'm still not 100 % how to get the best out of it...

I play an Epiphone Les Paul(getting new Di Marzio pu's soon) through my Marshall MG100 DFX ...

How do i connect my pedal to the amp to get the best sound from it...

The preamp settings on the pedal don't sound very good the way i use it at the minute...the only thing i really like about the pedal is the digital delay ....can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

PS the reason i want to know is because my band which has just formed a few months ago have gigs lined up in the next few weeks and i want to get the best sound i possibly can ...we play heavy AC-DC / Zeppelin sounding riffs

i usually just plug the pedals output into the marshall amp's input...What can i do to make the most of this equipment??

You'd most likely get more replies if you asked this question over on the Guitars and Basses forum. But anyway, I have the Boss GT-6B... the Bass verson of the GT-6. I use the 1/4" Left and Right Outputs and connect them to my Ampeg Classic amps... I run it in stereo, so the GT-6B Left Output goes to the left amp... and the Right Output to my right amp.

i got ya......read the instructions and model one of the presets personally. the marshall sound is good enough on its own that it doesnt need much modeling if at all so i would just remove the amp modeling from the setup and go with the chorus, delay, wah and maybe change two of the pedals for a tremelo and a tuner

Hey Lurgan - Log onto the Boss GT Cental Forum which is the site for all GT users. There is a Fourm specific to the GT6 concerning the GT Editor, recommended set-up, custom patches, the (4) cable method for connecting the GT6 to an amp, etc, etc.

Thanks for the helpful advice guys...i'll check out the GT Forum...

lol the gt forum....i forgot all about that! i used it the first day i bought my gt-6 and i didnt even stick around to see who answered my questions.

If you got a nice amp, the 4 cable method is the best, also available to read up on at gt central.
