Maybe someone has a quick and easy answer for this problem. I recorded a rhythm on the boss dr5 and it sounds pretty good. I can output the audio into cakewalks sonar and its still ok but I cant modify anything as you can with midi and soundfonts.
The problem is that when I send the output of the dr5 to sonar using the the MIDI outputs the instruments are screwed up! and I dont have a map or directions on how to get them to jive with the soundfont bank. Im only doing one instrument at a time. IE drums ,bass , keyboard. Its the drums where I notice the problem. its like I am using the wrong bank instead of #10. I still get drums but bass drum sounds like a tom and hi-hat becomes a shaker and something else becomes a WHISTLE of all things. did I miss something basic here. I can input midi from my keyboard with no problems...Any help is appreciated.
