Can anyone please tell me how I can export a whole song to my computer so I can make mp3s?

I know how to export individual tracks but I want the whole song made into an mp3. There is a digital out output - can this connect to my PC somehow?

Also, when singing vocals using a microphone, how would I stop the background music that I am singing to being picked up by the microphone ? !!

Thanks

to import a tune to your puter you need to look at the back of the puter and find your sound card. it most likley will have an 1/8" plug for a mic or better yet for a monitor. a set of radio shack cables will run your monitor (RCA) out to a stero 1/8" male to hook into your computer.

this is the analog way but my A/D converters on my sound card are far beter than the unit.

if your computers sound card is high end enough to have a digital input, it's A/D converters will be much better.

and for not hearing the background music, headphones.

Mix the 8 tracks down to 2 tracks (see the manual). Apply mastering tools if you like. Then export those two tracks.
