My needs are simple... I have a guitar going through a multi FX pedal and a Mic going through a vocal pedal.
I want these signals to go into to the Br800 in separate channels... say 1 and 2... and record simultaneously.
I've done this before on Tascam and Zoom multitracks with no problems.

I cannot figure out how to do this with the Boss ??? It seems to have preset recording options that don't allow this.
Am I missing something? Any help is most appreciated... Cheers

Connect Your Instruments/Microphones:
  • Plug your first instrument or microphone into Input 1.
  • Plug your second instrument or microphone into Input 2.
  • Create a New Song:
  • Press the [SONG] button.
  • Use the cursor buttons to select “NEW,” then press [ENTER].
  • Assign a name to your new song if desired, then press [ENTER] to confirm.
  • Select the Recording Mode:
  • Press the [INPUT SELECT] button repeatedly until “INPUT 1-2” is displayed. This mode allows you to record two inputs simultaneously onto separate tracks.
  • Assign Inputs to Tracks:
  • Press the [REC TRACK] buttons to arm the tracks you wish to record onto. For example:
    • To record Input 1 to Track 1, press the [REC TRACK 1] button until it lights up red.
    • To record Input 2 to Track 2, press the [REC TRACK 2] button until it lights up red.
  • Adjust Input Levels:
  • Play your instruments or speak into the microphones.
  • Use the [SENS 1] and [SENS 2] knobs to adjust the input sensitivity for Inputs 1 and 2, respectively. Aim for a strong signal without causing the peak indicators to light up, indicating clipping.
  • Apply Effects (Optional):
  • Press the [EFFECTS] button to access the effects menu.
  • Use the cursor and dial to select and adjust effects for each input as desired.
  • Begin Recording:
  • Press the [REC] button to start recording. Both tracks will record simultaneously.
  • Play your instruments or perform as needed.
  • Stop Recording:
  • Press the [STOP] button to end the recording session.
  • Playback and Review:
  • Press the [ZERO] button to return to the start of the song.
  • Press the [PLAY] button to listen to your recording

Thanks... I'll give it a go. You have to choose the stereo option which gives the monitoring as hard right and left.
So I tried the last input selection which is all four tracks armed for record and this gave a balanced monitoring...
Thanks for getting me going cheers
