I have just bought a BR-8. Do I need to go through computer based software to mix it down to CD? Or can I mix it on the deck and, using the digital optical output, record to a mini-disc or cd recorder?

i have been having a blast with my br8, definately the best toy anyone ever gave me. anyway, you can record it to your computer, to a cd burner shelf rack. i just looked into the tdk 3820 at bestbuy, and it will do it all for you, plus, you can use the optical digital out, that is the square hole in the back...from there you can burn it on cd rws, and then to a final cd r. my question is, how can i get it into my PC. i have the digital plug in but the little recorder section only allows 60 seconds. i have "creative" sofotware, but it only does wav. files. any suggestions, emial me at bullmrt@aol.com thanks and have fun
