I bought a BR 600 about 7 months ago. I love the ability this thing has, especially for my acoustic music, but get the feeling I am not getting the most out of this unit that it has to offer. Can anyone suggest where I might be able to get better clarification of it's potential? I've read the manual about 10 times now and feel like I am reading japanese everytime I look at it.

I put a 1 gig card in mine and that allows me to take full advantage of the V-tracks without being concerned about running out of memory. It is advertised as an 8 track machine but it is really 4 mono tracks and two stereo tracks which in my book is 6 tracks. I like laying down 4 mono tracks and boucing them to one of the stereo tracks. I think in order to get past the limited number of tracks you could dump them in an editor program. What makes you think you are not getting the most out of it? Do you have any stuff posted?

Mostly, I think it is lack of knowledge that makes me think I'm not getting the most out of it. I am TOTALLY new to recording and with the exception of the BR600 I just got, I've never recorded before. I need to hone my ears and understand mixing. Nothing posted as of yet. Will be doing so in the next couple of days or week. BTW, I bought the 1 gig card too. the 56 k card it came with just wasn't enough memory.

Appreciate any feedback.
