Boss BR-532

Can you take a Boss Br-532's midi output and hook it into your computer with out any software and something will come up? or if you have software would it work as a remote? I have pro tools digi 001 currently but i have this boss thing and i was wondering if i could run it into my computer in my room or if i could put it in my studio and run it into the digi just for acoustic stuff i do when im bored... I hate this fucking thing. kill it.
 
I don't think that you understand what MIDI is, MIDI is a control signal, not audio/wav. The BR-532 will only send out a MIDI control command. Say you had a external drum machine, you could sync the drum to start when you start the BR-532. Before you kill it send it to me :) .
