hey..i just purchased a used br-532 4 tracks multi track..with 32mb smart media card..i know that 32 mb is not so much, but as i try to bounce some tracks together to get some few tracks open again, i get this memory problem all the time..

i got myself 128mb extra card now..but my question is, is there any proper way to record tracks, and somehow, not use so much of the memory? i mean, pls give me some advices on how to record tracks in a better way, where i can bounce tracks together and mix them til the final stage by using 128 mb card..is it possible???

You can reduce the size of the files by lowering the sampling frequency/rate. For example, stereo 22kHz files use half as much space as 44.1kHz files and sound three-quarters as good.

I'm not sure your machine has this as an option, but it's worth a look.

If not, a bigger card is in order.

tnx pal..i found out that i should just "optimize" the song frequently to erase "unused" tracks...and yeah, i got myself a bigger card now, 128 mb..hope it'll do the trick.
ill try to look on what u said here..not sure if the machine has that option though...
