Any help much appreciated...here goes:
Planning on getting a E-MU 1212M. Then gonna plug ADA8000 into ADAT and possibly some 'good' (read good vfm) preamps into analog inputs. So here come the questions:
1.I was planning on using the software mixer and then routing my monitor mix to outputs on the soundcard. What kinda latency will I be looking at (inc plugin/DSP reverb on vocals for instance)? Useable or not?
2.The old preamp question...was thinking about dmp3 or audio buddy, but open to suggestions. Will the difference in quality compared to going through the ADA8000 be great?
3.Slightly random one...Is the A/D conversion in the 1820M in the breakout box or on the soundcard?
4.If I was gonna go for the 1820M, how do the preamps compare to, say the audio buddy, dmp3 and ADA8000?
