Borderline, simple project but it came out too slow

What happens when you make the projects midi map to slow? It becomes something new and unexpected. Like half the speed of Jeff Lynnes'.
Just real simple song map. Midi map the precussion. I tried to get the piano keys sounding different velocities after being smashed with the limiter. That is kinda counterproductive. Simple. Just testing the waters. Cleaned up a little it could be someth....

It is so easy to play with the sound.

Cool melody. I don't know what a midi map is so can't help you there. I like the vocals. With the slow groove there's plenty of room to beef up the drums, add occasional delay effects etc.

Yeah, I start with a tempo. Change the metronome to aaaa. Then tap out the drums for a simple beat(to be expanded later).

Instruments are just a once through. One take Charlie. There are mistakes its cool to leave them in at this stage.

I do the midi 'DOTS' first. To structure out the song. slowly adding different subtractive accompaniment.

Track it. Smash it.

My voice, is what it is. The autotune is a silly quick thing.

That was cool - musically speaking. It's got potential. I would have enjoyed it much more without the hard-tuning on the vocal.
