booking the east coast

if you live in a state bordering the atlantic ocean, from florida up to maine, I'd be extremely indebted to you if you could give me some venues (or venue contacts) around your area as we are trying to book a tour in june. preferably places that pay $150 and up (seeing as this is our first big tour, aside from travelling a lot on the weekends). if you could help out by giving them a sampler CD, that would help too, but any contact information you can give would be more than enough.

especially places that have a consistent crowd. a band contact with a similar style to ours in your area would work as well. you can hear our music on our web site: www.escapevelocity.com.

Aviod the western half of North Carolina, It's too cloce to Nashville to even consider your style of music. I know cause I live and play there, if it aint country or roadhouse rock jobs are hard to find.
 
so looking for venues in maine, vermont, new hampshire, connecticut, massachusettes, rhode island, pennsylvania, new york, delaware, new jersey, maryland, virginia, north carolina, south carolina, georgia, and florida... or for bands with similar styles
 
Connecticut:

Toad's Place, New Haven; all genres
Webster Theater, Hartford; all genres
The Space, Hamden;
Snookers, Ansonia;
Acoustic Cafe, bridgeport;
Huntington Cafe, either huntington or shelton, not sure
Mario's Cafe, derby
The Red Door, Watertown
The Main Pub, Manchester
Tequila Cove, Storrs or Mansfield

I'm not terribly familiar with all of these places. Your crowd at Toad's or the Webster really depends on who you play with.

The last 3 are bars, of them I think your best turn out will be at the red door. Webster, main pub, and tequila cove are in the north eastern part of the state. Red Door is central, the rest are southwestern.

I have NO idea what sort of $ you can expect. Let me know if you can help.
 
we're trying to make a guaranteed minimum $150 at every show... just for you know gas and food... we just want to play, but more would be great
