ok, so we are planning on touring the east coast this summer. if anyone can give me some information on venues in their area (if you're from florida up to maine) that would be great. if you can help set it up that would be even better. we're looking for about $150 for a show. please reply to this thread.

our website: www.escapevelocity.com

you can download some MP3's or use the flash mp3 player at the bottom of the page while you peruse the site. we will be going from florida to virginia the last week of may. then the second and third week of june we are going from virginia to maine (hopefully).

I live in NJ... here are a few venues in our area:

Axis Lounge: http://www.axislounge.net
Bloomfield Ave Cafe: http://www.bloomfieldavecafe.com (I've played here before; it's all-ages but it's a cash operation. Usually they make you buy the tickets up-front and sell them yourself. It might be different for a touring band though, I don't know. We hate playing here now, even though we live right around the corner.)
Cafe Arabica: http://cafearabicanj.com
Connections: http://www.room13atconnections.com (this place is good)
Dingbatz: http://www.dingbatznj.com
Kate's Cafe: http://www.kateskafe.com
Loop Lounge: http://www.thelooplounge.com (good room)
Maxwell's: http://www.maxwellsnj.com/ (great venue, legendary; bigger acts tend to play here even though the room's not that big)
McGurk's Pub: http://www.mcgurkspub.com (they'll pay $250 for a 3-hour set)
My Dining Room: http://www.mydiningroom.com (nice guy, Ira, runs shows out of his home sometime.)
The Underpass: http://www.theunderpass.com

And this is a company that supposedly helps bands with bookings in NJ, but I never had any luck with or response from them: Jersey Detour: http://www.jerseydetour.com

Here's a similar group, I went to a show of theirs but haven't been booked through them: NJ Shows: http://www.njshows.cjb.net

Not sure what style you are (I'll check out your site as soon as I post this), but if you get any dates and would like a shoegazer/indie band to open for you, let me know. We'd be all for it.

Listening now... good stuff! I'm really enjoying Gwynneth and The end of the real world.
