Anyone ever heard of Bonded Acoustical Cotton Fiber? Low freq specs looked pretty good if I'm reading it right. Check out this website http://www.acousticalsurfaces.com/echo_eliminator/bassbust.htm?d=0
There's a lot of different acoustical products on this site (with ASTM test results) to include duct noise reduction, acoustical panels, clouds, baffles. Seems to be some good info in there if you look around enough.
