Boing Echo Has Got Me Worried!!

I am almost complete on finishing my studio room in my basement. I have been using the 'clap' test to gauge the amount of sound dampening along the course of construction. I have sound control insulation (johns-manville) in the walls and R-30 in the ceiling. I did a clap test right before the drywall went up on the ceiling and I was very pleased with the sound that I heard (much improved over the unfinished basement sound.) My problem is that after putting up the drywall on the ceiling (and that's as far as I have gotten with the drywall) the next clap test had a horrible 'boing' characteristic immediately after the clap. It sounds worse than when I started. Is this normal? Will it improve after ALL of the drywall is up and the finishing work has been completed? I'm kind of freakin' out about the bad echo and was wondering if I should be more patient at this point or try and fix it now before all the rest of the drywall is mounted. Thanks for your help!!!!

Sheetrock (drywall) is very reflective. So when its all up expect a lot of sound bouncing around.. Time to get out the foam!
