I'm not familiar with either of those two monitors, but they look like they have 6" drivers? There seems to be a somewhat common (mis)conception that the size of the speaker you need is somehow related to the size of your room. The size of your room will dictate at what frequencies you'll have standing wave issues and how you'd acoustically treat that room for a good response. The size of the speaker is much more related to the frequency range of the audio you need to accurately reproduce. So, the more critical your low end, the larger a speaker you'll need to reproduce that (generally speaking). Most of the advise I've read around here regarding subs is to avoid them for critical listening because they're difficult to setup/calibrate/whatever for accurate sound. Of course, it won't matter what you get if you don't treat the room.
