I know it is designed to be miked to a amp but I see nowhere in the manual to tell if it can be damaged if amp is too loud. Anyone know about it's limit? I suspect my 20 watt amps wont damage it but just wanted to know for sure since it is a $300 mike.

The Bluebird max SPL is rated at 138 db.
I wouldn't imagine your amp would damage it, but check the rated max output on your amp to be sure.

There is only one way to find out. :D ..... You should be more than fine.

You'd probably want to crank the amp up to a good level - maybe 110 dB or so - maybe - to get whatever sound you want.

It's up to you really. I don't know, I just like the sounds you can get when the amp starts to get a bit loud.

If it's rated at 138 you should have a bit of headroom. Unless it's pinning your levels or something, but you could pad it if that's the case. It can handle a lot more than your ears.

Be careful with the jet engines thought.

Alright I know what Faaradar is talking about as far as the name of the microphone but what is does 222000 stand for? Maybe I've really been missing the boat here lately!
