Just an update to my prior post. These were the speakers I settled on before the Xmas holiday and after a bit of a delay in getting them set up, I'm finally at a point were I can critically listen to them.
All I can say is WOW! (good review huh?) I'm hearing things in my CD collection that I never knew existed. With the satellites placed on my corner mixing desk and the subwoofer on the floor to the right, this is exactly the mixing arrangment needed in my small room (11’x10’ in this case). I can raise the volume level significantly without effecting my room modes… very cool, plus I can also feel and hear the suboctave range very well which really helps in adjusting the kick/bass relationship. Blue Sky does an excellent job of integrating the sub/sat system. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to mix on a non full-range system again.
Construction is first rate and the footprint is perfect for my environment. These were pricey but in my opinion, worth every penny. So, if you’re interested you should check them out.
