The BB sounds like a dynamic condenser, if that makes any sense.

The Baby Bottle is a hot sounding condenser mic that has rolled off the very top end and very low end. It's a good mic that should get more attention.

would you say thats a good thing

It's a unique sound. I gather it's a love-or-hate mic. If you have more than one LDC, then it makes sense to have the BB and something else, because it is sooo different. If you have only one, make sure that is the sound you want.

Considering the mics I have experience with I think the Blue Baby Bottle is a very good value.

I prefer it over a AKG 414ULS on lower register male vocals and it sounds considerably more detailed than the MXL V67 ($400 difference). The Baby Bottle puts a male vocal out front in a mix. It's relatively warm without being bass-heavy and has presence yet it's not bright, if that makes sense. It's a very focused midrange sound compared to a 414ULS.

The Baby Bottle sounds good recording acoustic guitar but the 414ULS has a wider, flatter frequency range to catch the highs and lows of acoustic guitar that the Baby Bottle doesn't quite manage.

I think the trick in choosing a mic is to decide specifically what sound source you'll be recording and then choose the most suitable mic for that application/budget. I suppose that's an incredibly obvious statement but it's pretty good philosophy.
