He DIDN"T SAY that - read it again!!. It's a great mic but but you probably won't be able to use it since you can't read

My feeling is that there are better pres and more utility mics out there at that price. I started out with the bottle and the VMP and sold them both.
ADK Hamburg or Vienna, AT 4040 or a CAD M179 ( a apair of these will do a lot for ya), and then savew up for something really nice if you think you need it.
Safe Sound has a nice pre and good things are said about the DAV BG1 (I recently bought one but have yet to receive it so I can't say yet)
RNP has a nice two channel and depending on what you are gonna do with it, there is the John Hardy, Toft and Joe Meek stuff to look at.

sounds like you might wanna do some more research before you make that purchase

I'm saying that unless you have a really nice, acoustically tuned room, this mic may not work for you. I always had a really bad roomy sound with the mic, also its output is amazing, extremely loud. I just don't think it's a great mic for a beginner, or as an only mic. Also the preamp is very so so, has a kind of sterile quality to it. I'd avoid the package. I personally have had great luck with a Groove Tubes GT57 and Joe Meek 3Q.

What, are you people actually working or something ... like in jobs ? ?

Your job is help out impatient people like me, damnit! You don't actually expect me to use the search function, do you?

Please. That might actually require me to do some actual work. And my fingers already hurt bad enough from typing those two posts.

Is anyone awake out there? ? Anybody?

Gimme' an answer.

Now.

Now.

The answer is Violet.

Way better mics made in the same factory by the origonal desingers. Also, if you collect all five Violet mics they form to create Meka-Mike, the ultimate microphone in the whole world with unlimited potential.

Ok yeah.I aint got a real good sounding room yet. I plan on too later on though.Im just basically looking for a good mic strictly for vocals. Im doing research right now on what too buy. Cause Ive already wasted alot of money. So I wanna make sure I get it right. Than Im gonna go back and buy some more decent mics. Ill probably go check out these other mics people listed on here.

My Baby Bottle is so terrible, I'm taking a trip to Latvia to speak with them in person. I also hear there are beautiful womens in that neck of the woods.

blue bottle

this is the 1st mic i ever used to record my vocals..i actually used it with a voicemaster pro....i still will use it even though i got a k2 now...my advice, buy a mic and see if you like it...if u dont sell it and get something else...

Baby bottle

I used this mic and a grace 101 preamp to record vocals recently with excelent results. The mic is ment to be used in close proximity to the source so the room should not effect the sound to much unless it's extremely live. The voice i recorded was a gruff sounding male baritone in a metal band who sings very well. This mic is very critical as is the grace. It will reproduce your vocals very accuratly if used in conjunction with the aforementioned preamp. I think some one already posted that the mic package has a "clinical sound." You have to decide whether thats for you or not. Also I believe the blue bird has a more modern sound. You may just have to try them both. Hope this helps.
