Bloody Singers!!!!

yesterday at my bands rehersal when we were packing up the singer stood on the power cable for my Wharfedale EVP12 speaker. This has caused the whole socket on the back to pop out of it's hole. It still powers up and there is no other damage it just looks like the glue seal has broken. Is there anyway to glue it back in?????

Umm, I'd try a little glue.

lol. Yeah but what kind????? I don't want to be using a pritt stick or something or wood glue if it is going to damage it.

I'm not sure what a pritt stick is, but I would suggest just hot glueing it back on. If you don't already have a hot glue gun, now would be the time to get one! They come in handy from time to time.

Cheers Sonic, a pritt stick is a glue stick that we use here in scotland in schools for making crappy pictures out of pasta and stuff.

I'll go out and get a glue gun soon.

Do to the vibration that your Monitors have during use, do not use anything that becomes brittle like super glue. I would use something like a silicone glue that can handle the vibration, anything that dries like a rock will end up flaking off after a while. Just IMHO.

That's a great suggestion. Maybe hot glue should be considered more of a temporary solution. I could see vibrations eventually loosening it enough to make it easy for the socket to be pulled out again.
