I was wondering what mic Anthony used to record his vocals on this record.
The reason i ask is that on 'funky monks' DVD, you see him with his hands all over it, no pop sheild, right up to the mic (bassically as if he were on stage)

Origionally i thought these were just his scratch vocals, but im now posative there not.

Anyone know?

I believe it is an SM7

At least that is what I have heard and you can also kinda see in on the Give it Away Video.

Also one of my favorite albums. Really changed my music tastes in High School.
 
Cheers for that, why is it that he was able to sing as if he was on stage, without the pops, crackles and other noise?
 
It's a dynamic, it's made for boradcast so it has a pop filter built in, and it's a superb mic. Plus he had some pretty talented fader pushers working on that album...

i'm frkn pumped....every once in awhile i feel i make a good decision!

SM-7...funky looking thing. supposedly good for noisy rooms.
