to make a remix of the song...is there an easy way to do this in the daw? the only way i currently know how to do it is to get the tempo of the accappela song and match it up with a beat that has the same tempo...is that the only possible way?

it seems easier to blend when using turntables am i right?

The lazy fool that I am, I now mix all accapellas with turntables or CDs. Otherwise, I think you're stuck beatmatching in your software, timestretching the vox, or chopping up the phrases & sticking 'em in....

Maybe some other remixers got other solutions...

all kinds of easy ways first you get decent wave editor a sheet of paper and a pen remember this formula cause you will need it latter 5x 650/ (divide by bpm you have either the lyrics or the instrumental)___ = ___find the square root of this number . round it up if it needs to be rounded. this number is what you call the true velocity any multiple of this number times four will work on that beat or accapella you have. you could multiply it by 4 again for a faster song but it mus be multiplied in fours. you can divide by twos to bring it down if it is to high but going up must be 4's. be careful the amount of 4's you multiply by will tell you how many times it will go off beat. if you multiply by 4 three times it will go off beat at the 1/3 2/3 and 3/3 points of the song which is three times. for every time you divide you can remove one time it will go off beat. It will seem hard the first time you do it but after that you wont even have to think about it you will be able to match a song to any beat and know where to cut it. most tracks i only have to cut and move 3 times in the whole song and they fit right into pocket. Try it it works for sure. see i aint afraid to pass on the knowledge the question is are you scared to receive it?

the formula 5 times 650 divided by ___bpm you do know___=____ <---find the square root of this number

The formula...

5 times 650 divided by ___bpm you do know___=____

I knew I should've smoked less & listened more in school.
