Im experiencing bleed over when im recording. I have headphones on. and my mic isnt picking up those. where could this be coming from? my control room out goes to speakers. mains go to sound card (s/b live mp3). then out on sound card goes to tape in. im using a behringer 602a mixer. a audio techna at4033a mic. and athm40 head phones. can anyone help? if someone could give me some pointers on the side by phone that would be great. I have a few questions

ok i know now that the main mix knob will cure this. but it also takes away what im playing too. i have to have this stuff hooked up wrong

ok i know im the only one replying to this, but my problems might help someone elso out. basically the reason for the bleed over was because i was going out of my card into the tape in ports on my mixer. which records what i just played along with what im trying to record. so now im using a headphone amp. coming out of the card to the amp. not a very good system but there is no bleed over. any other options?
