guess i'll bump this once, before i move on to a final mix

Nice, has a CSN&Y meets Doobie brothers vibe.

Maybe the acoustic guitars are a little too forward, but they are nice and I can see why they are being proudly displayed. If anything, I would bring those down (sounds like two) down a bit. But would be my only comment. Really nice!

If you bring up the low mids you'll have to bring the guitars down a bit - they're already pretty loud.
Yep, a little more percussion in the solo'd be cool.

^^^^^^ what they said. The acoustics are just a tad too fat / forward. A little middle on them could be cut out....not much...just a tad. They tend to have the same tonal feel as the vocals so one sort of washes over the other. EQ a teeny bit more highs on the vocals and I think you're there. Man....the acoustics and the electric are played so nicely. Wonderful melodic phrasing!! You should be VERY PROUD of that song!! Nice job and thanks for letting me listen!!

thanks for listening!
you guys have good comments.....

so i've done this:
did a remix last night,
got the congas brighter and brought up levels,
as well as a new location in the pan that seemed to sit better.
reset some of the acoustic guitar eq....and added some more room reverb to take them back a bit.
rolled off a bit more top from the bass guitar......
brightened up the guitar solo a tad, and brought up some levels in a few spots.

yep, right about the acoustics, with the new addition of a room reverb, and some delicate cuts around 3-4khz, that tamed the acoustics.
percussion is pretty hot during the solo now.....
not sure if i'll post an updated mix or not, i just think there probably isnt' enough interest.

thank you for listening and commenting....
good suggestions, and all have been considered and implemented to some degree.

and yes, i'm AM proud of this one...
it's a very natural feeling tune, that just kind of came out.
