Hi friends. Again, thanks again for all the feedback on the previous song I posted. I'm alot more confident in this song. I think I took alot of the advice from the previous post and put it to good use. The style of production fits the song, but please, let me know what you think with no holds barred.

Sounds like good ol traditional Black Metal...

I like it.

But i hazard to guess your going to get a bunch of stuff about how to make it sound better. . . . By an industry standard and people that don't fully understand the roots.

Black Metal for those that don't know is for the most part guitar prominent. With Blast Beats.

I was in a Black metal band ages ago and as fun as it was to play, mixing the stuff is just a fucking headache which may be the reaso nthat alot of roots black metal sounds like fucking dicks to the regular joe's ears.

Personally i don't like the bass sound you got. It sounds floppy boingy. Which for normal metal might be acceptable or whatever. I assume its distorted. Which is fine. but yea....

IF your familiar with Emperors 'Into The Nightside Eclipse' i would try to mimic that bass sound or drive towards that, it would do well with what you got here.

Thats just my thoughts bro.

The ride cymbal is a little loud.

I like the heavy reverb on the vox. It's a cool effect for a song. (Though I wouldn't reuse that often, since it does muddy stuff up; it's a bad baseline.)

I thought it was pretty good overall.

Of course i'm familiar with Emperor! Anthems is only the best metal album ever! I see what you say about the bass being a little flubby. I will see what I can do about fixing it... a little too deep and natural sounding. Thanks for the listen man and for the comments.

Steve, thanks for the comments. The drummer was slamming the shit out of the ride and was captured a bit too much by the OH mics. I'm not sure there is much I can do other than eq it out. But I will keep it in mind. Thanks for the listen.

I don't understand the genre well. But I'd think that most songs in the genre would have to have a stronger low end than this mix.

The guitar playing is really fast and really good.

The vocals are washed out in reverb, but that's probably appropriate for the genre. You could probably bring them up a db or two.

I'd like to hear more snare.
