I just recently purchased a JVC XM-R70SL portable minidisc recorder to record my daughter playing the piano. (As per the advice of a few good members). Now I'm preparing to purchase a mic. Should I go with a T style or Binaural? I've even checked into constructing my own Binaurals.
I'm told that the mic is a very important component of quality recording. Anybody got some good advice?

Just today I heard a live "illegal" recording of an Eric Clapton arena concert. The pirater was using a tiny "clip on" Sony stereo mic and either a portable DAT of a portable Minidisc. He sat in the 12th row center column. He then transfered that to a CD and the results sounded great! Almost as good as the "Unplugged" Cd

If you click around on the last two of the links I sent to you last time, you will see an add for a tiny stereo mic. Try them.

Try Sony as well.
