Jesus, I don´t know what to do, I just got cool edit pro 1.0 like 3 days ago... I had use it before in a friend´s house, so I´m not that familiar with it...
Ok, the first time I started it, it was all so beutiful, I recorded my first track, applyied FX, recorded another track listening to this Track 1, and also recorded a Track 3, that was enough for me that night so I closed and started all over again, but sudenly Recrded the second track having duplicated the wave from Track 1, I don´t know if you are getting it... it´s like in Track to, I get Track 1 and what I recorded mixed!! so Track 1 sounds soooo loud... and so on...
I´m connecting my mic or guitar to my home stereo, becouse I don´t have a mic preamp yet, and I get the line out of the stereo to the mic in of the sound card, I know i should do it to the line in, but it seems to be not working, and by the microphone it´s working allright, just a little hiss I can remove with the very same cool edit pro...
Suddenlly even worst, I was not able to playback anything in the multitrack enviorment, so I don´t know what to do!! I´m really pulling my hair out of my head!!!

Any Advise welcome!!!

I have 1.2, not 1.0, but they're probably really similar.

Beside the record button for each track, there are two little grey buttons. The lower one's for selecting your recording device for that track, and the upper one's for selecting the playback for that track. What are you selecting for each track, especially the playback device?

Well, they are both set to the only Sound Card I have... it seems ok to, and you know something weird? It plays and record well in single wave edit mode, and i tried reinstalling it, and was no better... I think maybe it could be due to the buffer or something...

Yes, I know they're set to record to your soundcard. But what channel are you getting each track to play back to? Are you choosing a different channel for each track, like you should?

That upper button I mentioned before, the playback button - it should be set differently for each track. Are you doing that?

I think the reason why the tracks are being mixed is because you have your settings wrong. Go to your volume control and to the recording controls make sure the wave output is not selected, also select the line in as this may be the reason it isnt working.
I'm not sure about the play back problems though.

Hope this helps
