Hi Guys,

Well Ive got an M-Audio AudioPhile 24/96 connected to my mixer(MG 10/2)

I have the INputs of the 24/96 into the ST Out and the OUTputs into
the 7/8 channels on my mixer....And works perfectly.

Now heres the problem....in my AA I goto>options>Device Order and got
the "M-Audio Delta AP 1/2" for the playback and recording too.
Then in Device Properties I put the same Wave out 1/2 and Wave in 1/2.

So when I put my beat in first track and I start recording in secound track
the beat records itself into the secound track...

am I doing something wrong?
Please help me out..

Thanks in advance :)

this seems to be a common problem....read the very first thread in the forum.

Yeah I already did but didnt help at all

Am runnig everything thru my mixer
i dont really know what seems to be the problem.

Thanks for the reply :D :)

I'll bet it's the mixer that's causing the problem. You have routed the playback into the mixer: make sure you are not routing the playback into the main outs (going to the sound card), because that's what it sounds like is happening. Depending on your mixer, you may need to mute the main outs and take the playback off the monitor outs (where you can route to monitor speakers or a headphone amp). In other words, if your main outs are feeding the sound card, and those playback channels are going to the main outs, there's the difficulty.

I think thats what it is...thou I dont connect my speakers untill am finish recording...cuz im recording in my room....I have the outputs of my sound card connected to 7/8 channel on my mixer.

So if I mute the outs how can i hear the beat while recording?

It's not whether you use the speakers, it's whether the inputs to them are in the signal path. If you are using recording gear, there MUST be a way of routing the playback separately from the recording. Otherwise every recording made would consist of all the tracks together on the last track recorded....

I don't know of a better way to explain what's going on: I don't have your mixer, I don't have the manual to your mixer, but for sure that's a place to start.

Try different things, and see what works.

I read the manual already but doesnt say anything about connecting the mixer to a sound card....just the basic....where to connect the mic, headphones, monitors etc...

Thanks again for takin your time to help me out

I'll see if can get more info searchin' :D

Try this solution - don't OUTputs to 7/8, instead OUTputs to speakers. Presumably, your monitor is powered.
