beyer m500 - any opinions?

I see that a lot of studios have this ribbon mic. Any of you have them and what have you been successful using them on? Also, anybody know what they sold for new?

I have an M500, works great for me on female and some male voc and great on fiddles. You need a high gain, claen pre as it doesn't put out much. Rolls off the high end, but takes EQ very well.
