better than fruity loops

are there any programs more versatile than fruitly loops? mainly im looking for a progam that sequences music similiarly to fruity loops but can be used to compose songs rather than repetive loops. i know you can do such with fruity loops, but it seems clunky and cumbersome.

check out Jeskola Buzz..at www.buzzmachines.com Its got a steep learnign curve, kinda sorta... But its well worth it
