Better or Worse Than Oxygen 8?
Okay I know this is closer to a toy than "Pro Audio" BUT I need something to trigger drums into Fruity Loops and write drum parts and ideas away from the PC. I was looking at the Midiman Oxygen 8 but the 25 keys and some reviews have me looking for something else.
My PC is the "family" PC and shared/ fought for by my wife and I.
I am primarily a bass and guitar player, song writer and I like to mess around with keyboards and piano's. Mainly I want to record some home demo's that don't suck too bad. Burn some CD's for friends and pontential colaberators etc. I am not making any money at this or dreaming of going pro for a living.
If you a real key player you will laugh at this one but it just might meet my needs and GC has them at 54% off ($119).
It does general MIDI and has a built in sequencer, 10 drum kits BUT nothing I can find about it indicated the bit resolution of the samples. If I only use it for triggering FL it would not matter but most of the drums in FL are more of a hip hop techno thing and I want more of an organic sound so if the drum samples were usable that would be a huge bonus.

Does any one have any input on this? $100-$120 is my spending limit.
